Monroe, NJ – Christopher Pina Killed in Bike Crash at Ave J & Ave K

Monroe, NJ (May 7, 2020) – On Saturday, May 2nd, a 20-year-old Spotswood man and graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School was killed in a collision in Monroe, New Jersey. The victim was later identified by local authorities as Christopher Pina. The accident reportedly occurred near the area of Avenue J and Avenue K as Pina was leaving his home. 

Pina was riding on a bicycle when he became latched to an open window of an acquaintance’s car. Pina lost control of the bike and proceeded to hit the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11:23 a.m. 

Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
