East Brunswick, NJ – Jesse Ibarra Injured in DUI Crash on NJ-18

East Brunswick, NJ (July 10, 2020) – A Somerset man was charged in a drunk driving accident that left four people injured in East Brunswick on Saturday, July 4. The collision occurred at the intersection of NJ-18 and Hope Street at around 5:02 a.m. Jesse Ibarra, 21, was reportedly driving north in a Honda Pilot on NJ-18 when he collided with a Ford Fiesta. 

The two vehicles collided head-on, and the driver and passenger of the Ford were extricated by emergency personnel and transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Both Ibarra and his female passenger were also hospitalized. 

Ibarra was charged with driving while intoxicated. An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
