New Jersey Deadly Motorcycle Crashes

Edison, NJ - UPDATE: Marcus Wood, Brayan Padilla Killed on I-95Each year, more than 5,000 estimated motorcyclists are killed in car accidents across the country. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, riders are 27 times more likely to suffer fatal injuries in the event of an accident. Motorcycle accidents are vastly overrepresented in national roadway fatalities.

Motorcycle riders are vulnerable to a host more risks, lacking the safety afforded to those traveling in larger vehicles. Motorcyclists have two prime disadvantages when sharing the road with other drivers. Firstly, they are much smaller than passenger cars, and secondly, they have little protection in the event of an accident.
