Galloway, NJ – Janel Bembry Killed in Crash on Wrangleboro Rd
Galloway, NJ (April 21, 2020) – One woman was killed and another injured following a hit-and-run accident in Galloway, on Monday morning, April 20th.
Janel Bembry, 48, was driving on Wrangleboro road when her Hyundai was rear-ended by a Toyota Highlander at around 8 a.m. The impact caused Bembry’s vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic and collide with a Honda CRV driven by Gail Schifrist, 61.
Bembry was flown to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City where she was later pronounced dead. Schifrist was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment of serious injuries. The driver that rear-ended the Hyundai fled the scene but was later identified as Keneet Camacho, 38, of Absecon, New Jersey.
Camacha is currently being held under charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, driving while impaired, and driving while unlicensed. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
